Welcome back! I'm Bea, and I know that after you book your perfect session, the next big question is always, "What should we wear?" Don't stress! Your photos should feel authentic and look timeless. Follow this simple guide to ensure your family or couple portraits look amazing on the beautiful Florida coast.

1. Color Palette is Key: Think Coastal & Natural

The vibrant colors of Daytona Beach (the blue ocean, the white sand, and the golden sunset) already provide a stunning backdrop. Your outfits should complement, not compete, with nature.

Best Colors: Neutrals (creams, beige, whites, gray), Soft blues and greens, Muted pinks and mustard yellow.

Avoid: Large, distracting logos, neon colors, or busy, matching patterns that make the photo look too flat.

2. Focus on Texture, Not Trends

Choosing pieces with texture adds depth and interest to the photos, even simple ones!

For Women: Flowy maxi dresses, lace, soft knits, and delicate fabrics that catch the beach breeze. These look beautiful during movement!

For Men: Linen shirts, soft denim, chinos, or layered fabrics. Avoid overly stiff or formal clothing unless it’s specifically requested.

3. The Number One Rule: Dress for Comfort

If you or your children are uncomfortable or constantly adjusting clothes, it will show in the photos! We want authentic joy!

Kids: Choose outfits they can easily run and play in. Barefoot on the beach is always encouraged!

Layering: Florida weather can be unpredictable. Bringing a light cardigan or denim jacket allows for quick wardrobe changes and adds variety to your final gallery.

4. Coordinated, Not Matching!

Instead of everyone wearing jeans and white shirts (the classic mistake!), choose a color palette and let everyone select an outfit that fits within that theme.

Example: Mom wears a light sage green dress, Dad wears a beige linen shirt, and the kids wear white or cream. The colors complement each other without being identical.
